Today is Friday. Friday's always make me happy. I have a 4 day work week next week and the following week. Then I work a full week and then it's vacation time. 23 days and counting.

Today was the best day I've ever had at work. Broke some personal records, a coworker wrote my boss a nice little e-mail about how much ass I kicked and there's a small chance that I might have helped convince a client to bring all their business over to my company. I started in December and was sure I was gonna get fired by March, LOL. Now I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be able to stick around for a while.

Awesome Cracker, I brought $750 to my company today. Found some parts, bin counted the, and then shipped them right out the next day. Yet I will get nothing for it.....
But hey I have a good paying job and I'm grateful for that.

After 1 and a half years my husband finally found a job....it's such a relief! It's not exactly what he wanted to do, being a mechanic again, but it's a job that pays actual money.

I'm happy for a lot of things tonight.
I'm happy for the first week of school, meeting my awesome kids and getting excited about all the possibilities their lives hold. Also happy that I have a job in a field I'm passionate about. After 7 years in banking, I sacrificed a lot to go to grad school and become a teacher. Four months of student teaching with no income, followed by five weeks of teaching summer school for just above minimum wage really paid off. I feel so lucky to be where I am. Not a day goes by where I don't think that the stars are shining just for me.
That being said, I'm happy for a four day weekend. The first week of school is exhausting. I put in over 48 hours in four days. I'm ready for a long weekend where I can regroup, recuperate, and make eight periods worth of seating charts.

I should also mention that I'm happy to log into TD after being MIA for a few days and see almost 150 posts. There was a time where I might have seen a third of that number.

Dropping a 7-5 win in Softball last night. They were undefeated, that win pretty much made our Playoff shots a guarantee. Won 4 straight, so happy about the team we have all put together for the effort and commitment they have all given me so far this season. So proud and happy guys, Thnks!
