Awoke to a rainbow out my front door today....it was spectacular. Then I came to work.............ruined that.

Was it a DOUBLE rainbow???

As I was leaving for work last night my son was heading home from his job. We met in the driveway and chatted for a few minutes. As I was headed down Long Neck Rd I saw an ambulance and paramedic come out and turn on 24 after I made the turn 2 more emergency vehicles went past with lights and sirens going. Getting down 24 a bit had to stop with all the emergency vehicles. I was close enough to it I was ahead of the first fire police. Had I not stopped to talk in my driveway I could have been right in the middle of that.

Its funny how fate does play a part in our lives.....

Friday at the Sussex Central vs Delmarva Christian Lacrosse game in a routine play heads got banged and my son went down.Our Coach and the home team trainer were right there. Really scared when they decided to call a parent (me) out on the field. The trainer quickly decided to call 911.Several parents came on the field with blankets. Georgetown ambulance arrived quickly. I followed the ambulance up to the major intersection at 5 points were I dropped back. When I arrived at the ER about 2 minutes after the ambulance he was in a room and surrounded by doctor and staff. The CT proved negative but he is sore. I am very happy for 2 reasons obviously because my son has no permanent damage. Secondly for the speed and caring of the trainer,the emergency responders and hospital staff. Also made me feel really good when we were coming out there were quite a few parents and friends in the waiting room.

Thank the Lord for insurance!..$1,739.75 Fully paid by 2 separate insurance policies. Good thing my wife has Med Ins at her work.

Having my hubby home from Boston makes me extremely happy. I barely slept while he was gone so I'm looking forward to a great nights sleep tonight.

Home improvement makes me happy. Rolling up my sleeves, standing on a ladder, spackling the ceiling and prepping a room for paint. I get excited by all the possibilities that fresh paint and a new bedspread hold in store.

Yesterday, Enjoying a good BBQ with Wifey at my parents house yesterday, as well as some friends. One that I have not actually sat down and talked to in about 8 years, let alone seen, other then communicating on Facebook.

Today, spending some time with Wifeys parents and Grandpa, and them coming home to cook on the grill for a good "lunner".

Great weekend, only if it was 28 days from now, and it would be so much better!
