Re: Octo-Mom Says No to Free Childcare, Housing

The more this goes on, the more I'm just not sure what to think.

She wanted a big family, she obviously does love her kids, she plays with them, cuddles them, teaches them.

Starting out with what I initially thought was 14 embryos, was actually 32. It took 26 embryos to make her first 6 children, with one egg splitting, so actually only 5 of 24 emryos 'took. She never in a million years expected to wind up with 8 more babies, she was thinking, because of her past history, she was expecting twins at the most.

She's out of touch because she only watches what her kids watch on TV, she doesn't have internet, and she doesn't buy gossip-based magazines. She's been living as an adult, in a children's world, totally cutting herself off from mainstream society.

I'm sure she's using money from interviews etc to enable her to lease the house, which she considered 'private and safe' in a cul-de-sac and she's saying she doesn't want people, the media, to know where she is.

She outright refused porn, but now she's allowing the video of the birth of the octuplets to be sold for 1,000,000 dollars. Not sure how I feel about that, but it's a lot more respectful than porn and will definitely help her take care of those kids.

I do hope she has 'everything in place' as far as decent living arrangements, school/and or a career, a circle of support to help her with these children.

As long as she has that house set up, cribs, diapers, etc, and shows that she has a decent support system, I think they may just let the babies start going home with her.

Seems she wanted to do this, but wanted to do this her way, and she seems to be fairly saavy so far that it seems like it may just work out best for all.

I'm praying as this goes on, that she is able to prove that she can do this, that she put all the right gears in motion to actually be able to pull this off.

People can speculate, and place thier own ideas of parentage as the norm, and judge by snippets found in the news without knowing the whole story.

I just dont know what to think anymore, by first my concen is the children, of course. I wish her the best, and I truly hope she can find a way and the help she so desperately needs right now.

But, I'm praying as well, once more, that is is what it seems to be that she is doing, and isn't a means to a ways for the explotation of these children.

We don't really need further evidence of Octopussy's craziness, but that doesn't mean we don't relish examples of it!
In October 2008 Nadya Suleman made a hysterical call to 911 when one of her sons - of the 6 kids she had pre octuplets - went missing.
Instead of simply asking for aid and going out to look for the boy, Nadya threatens to kill herself multiple times, prompting the dispatcher to remind her that her other kids are present and listening.
After about 5 minutes, the wandering son returns - turns out he was just on a walk with the granny.
Way to keep it together, Nadya.

I also wrote a blurb to perez asking for a list of sponsors....my step daughter is having a baby soon and I certainly am not going to willingly buy products that sponsor the attention whore!

In honor of the mother of the octuplets,

Denny's is offering a new breakfast meal called the Suleman:

You get eight eggs,no sausage, and the guy next to you has to pay the bill.

There is a big difference between wanting something, needing something, and being completely batshit crazy.

One guess as to which category Nadya falls into.

That tape just reinforces my opinion that this woman is bat sh** crazy and just not in touch with reality in any way shape or form.

America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004

I don't like this thread headline.

And I don't like the nickname "Octo Mom".

How about, "Pathetic Attention Whore Puts Self Above 14 Helpless Children, Forces Them To Suffer For Her Narcissism"?

Nadya Suleman Has FIRED the nurses from Angels in Waiting

(CNN) -- Nadya Suleman, the Southern California woman who gave birth to octuplets in January, has fired a nonprofit group of nurses charged with helping care for her children, CNN affiliate KTLA has reported.
    .

Nadya Suleman, mother of octuplets and six other children, fired a free nursing team, says a CNN affiliate.

Suleman accused the nurses, from a group called Angels in Waiting, of spying on her to report her to child-welfare authorities, the affiliate reported Monday.
The group was working for free, the affiliate said. Suleman instead will rely on nurses whom she is paying, Suleman's attorney said.

She now has four of the octuplets at home, along with her six other children. The other octuplets remain in a hospital, which is discharging them two at a time to ease the adjustment.

Suleman -- already a single mother with six young children -- gave birth to the octuplets through in-vitro fertilization, fueling controversy. News of her collecting public assistance for some of her children also outraged many taxpayers.
    Don't Miss

She has not identified the father of the children, but spoke about him in a new video released on RadarOnline.com.
    Watch Suleman describe donor »

He is a foreign-born man who lives in California and is the father of all 14 of her children, Suleman said.

The man was angry when she told him that she was having eight more children, she said.

"He was angry at the doctor, like everyone else," Suleman said. "He is a good friend -- a platonic friend. We would not be very compatible. As far as I am concerned, I would never disclose who he is."

At one point in the video, a child's voice can be heard asking Suleman the man's name.
