Soldier Dedication Thread

We thank all our service people who have fought over the years for our country. This thread is to show our support and love for those servicepeople who are or have been a part of our lives. We need to make them a little more personal, so people will understand that it's our families and friends fighting, it's not just politics.

First post I would like to dedicate to my Father. Army SFC David Griffith Jones. 11/09/36 - 6/26/85. Retired 1973 after serving in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

I love you Daddy!!!

Re: Soldier Dedication Thread

My second post is dedicated to my first and best friend in Delaware.

I have picture of Chris in Uniform, just not on this pc I'm on now. I'll switch it out when I get home.

Anyway Chris is an engineer in the Air Force, you can see all his info on his website http://www.choxnpinz.com.

Love you Chris!

Re: Soldier Dedication Thread

I dedicate this post to my father, who served 25 years in the Delaware Army National Guard as a full-time career officer. He entered during the Viet Nam war and served all the way through the first Gulf conflict.

He died in 1991 of cancer while still in the service of his country as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Signal Corps. He was, always, an officer and a gentleman.

I miss you, Daddy. And I will always be proud of you.

I also send many thanks to the following people:

* my paternal grandfather, who served in the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet during World War II
*my adopted maternal grandfather, who served with the U.S. Army in Europe as George Patton's driver.
* my paternal uncle, who served in the U.S. Navy about the Aircraft Carrier John F. Kennedy
* my SO's brother, who not only served 7 years in the U.S. Air Force, but has served one tour with the Delaware Air National Guard in Afghanistan and will soon be returning for another

Gentlemen, I salute you.

Thumbs up Re: Soldier Dedication Thread

I support ALL soldiers in the US Armed Forces....during peace and during conflict. these brave men and women deserve our undying gratitude for their bravery and service to their country.
My dad served in the US Navy in WW II...
my cousin Jimmy served in Korea,
my brother served in Vietnam.
countless other cousins and friends served in Gulf War, and Enduring Freedom.
Some are still there.

GOD BLESS THEM ALL !!
