IGNORE LIST: How to add a member to your ignore list

I guess I'm on at least one ignore list. He PM'd me with a question, but he wouldn't accept the answer. I'm still learning. Boring old me....boo hoo

I'm fairly certain that I know the answer to this, but would the ignored person be sent some message that they have been added to an ignore list? I know it sounds wierd, but I'd like to know if I'm irritating someone to the point that they feel they need to tune me out. I think I would use it as an opportunity to examine my own behavior a little more closely and change it if I didn't like what I saw.
