Here we do cucumbers, tomatoes and jalapeno peppers.
Funny story. Wife was done picking a few of the hot peppers and ate a few. I didn't know. Anyway, one thing led to another and I ended up running to the bathroom and scrubbing my package with cold water and soap, Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! | Another victim of the infamous Holla-Pain-Blow.

For right now, I raid my friend's garden in the summer... *g* |

I would rack it up to all the pollution in Delaware City, but my mom lives in Newark and she does have a green thumb and she doesn't have any luck either. Leave it to me to love a flower that's hard to grow! | Trust me, I don't have a green thumb and I love lilacs too. I have a couple of them and so does my next door neighbor. Maybe it's where you're getting them from or the size that they are when you get them? I always thought they must be pretty easy since I could keep one alive.
One day this summer I'm going to come over and pick you up and bring you to see my friend's yard. Every freakin' season of the year it looks like a Currier and Ives picture. I'm so jealous! Even her vegetable garden is pretty.

My Mood: | | | Re: Gardens Does Anyone Have One? I have 5 huge lilac bushes in my yard. I really cut them back so I hope they bloom a lot this year. I don't usually grow corn. I can get it free across the street. No it isn't feed corn.
Cukes, Zucs, tomatoes, cherry and beefsteak kinds, carrots, radishes a lot of root veggies and Eggplant, cabbage, strawberries.
I have tried blueberries and grapes but I can't keep them alive.
This year I need to start a compost. |

My Mood: | | | Re: Gardens Does Anyone Have One? We grow a bit of 'most everything common. (lots of mushroom soil and black plastic.) I grew up in the country and then we grew Stowell's Evergreen corn. I don't really have room to do sweet corn justice here. This year I'm going to try to grow Ambrosia cantalopes up over the wood pile. We'll see if the squirrels and racoons let us have any. I do lots of herbs in big pots up on the deck. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
