Gender: | | | Bee Season I've got some kind of bees...dunno if they're bumblebees or carpenter bees or what...but they are desperately trying to hive up anywhere they can on my patio.
Anyplace there's a crack...like in the hollow tube of a metal table leg...or a nook in the wall...in the back of my friggin radio....they are trying to establish a home.
I've got an infant, and I spend a good deal of time on my patio...so I don't want to be tracking pesticide in and out and exposing her to it.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of these buggers that's bio friendly? | | The Following User Says Thank You to Kid Lester For This Useful Post: | |

This is my 3rd season here, and I've NEVER had this problem before.
I don't THINK there's anything different about the patio than before....
?
I've swatted about 50 of 'em since Saturday. |

Also what do you put on your deck to preserve it? Do you use Thompsons? You might consider using something with more of a Linseed Oil base to it. Thompsons is mostly wax and water and does nothing to repel wood boring insects. Bees don't like products treated in Linseed Oil.

These guys aren't aggressive at all. They just keep going out and coming back. Sooner or later, somebody's gonna get stung, even if it's accidental. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
