Living in fear and using caution when it comes to pathogens that can make you very sick are not the same thing IMO.

Nobody is asking you to do anything you don't want to do. I just put the information there for people who DO want to be cautious with regards to foodborne pathogens. People know to wash their hands after handling raw chicken and not eat raw eggs, but doing the same with jalapenos right now might save some kid's life.

I'm really getting irritated with the snide comments about it.
