| | Ok....So, I've totally been into the musical Wicked lately. Right now, a theatre company is touring and will be performing in January 2010 at the Kimmel theater in Philadelphia. Myself and some of my family members plan on going. It should be a lot of fun. If you are interested, you should check out the folllowing sites: Wicked The New Broadway Musical - Official Website# Kimmel Center, Inc.
Well....the other big news is that the rumor is there will be a Wicked film in the summer of 2010. Not only that, but they are trying to get the original Broadway cast including Kristin Chenoweth and (my favorite) Idina Menzel. I hope they do make a film. I've never seen the musical, but everyone that I've spoken to who has, has told me it's truely magical. As long as they can capture that magic on film....sounds like an AWESOME idea to me! | | | I LOVED the book but heard the musical is nothing like it. I won't go see the musical just because I don't want to see it if it's not true to the book. Have you heard whether it's the same or not?
I actually liked Tales of a Wicked Stepsister better. PG gave me Son of A Witch, but I haven't gotten to it yet (sorry PG! But I will! I promise!)

Have you heard whether it's the same or not? I've heard that it's based on the Gregory Maguire book, but it does take a lot of liberties. However, I can see where it would have to. I'm going to try for the FOURTH time to read the book. (the last time I got half way through and didn't finish) The book is EXTREMELY detailed. It's also pretty long. I honestly don't know how you could fit all of those details into the musical. I do want to make sure I read the book before I see the musical though. I have a feeling I'll enjoy it more if I do. | | |

| | | I saw it on Broadway during the summer of 2005. It was awesome. I've never read the book, so I can't vouch for how authentic it is, but I can say that you should go see the play. If it's anything like the production I saw, you'll leave happy. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Jessica For This Useful Post: | | | |

| | | I saw Wicked on Broadway last year and I was not impressed by I'm totally strange like that. Apparently I'm the only human who doesn't like Wicked and Salmon. | | |
