My Mood: | | | What do you miss the most in the world? For me it is is my Mother. It has been 10 years since she has passed and it still feels like yesterday. The biggest thing I miss is comong home from work every day I would call her. That 1-800-heaven line just does not work. I could be on a cruise and still call her every night ship to shore. I don't think I missed one day of calling from the day I moved out at 17 till the day she went into the coma. God I love that woman What do you miss ?? | | The Following 7 Users Say Thank You to Naomi For This Useful Post:

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? I miss IM-ing with my Dad morning, noon, and night (literally - every day). I came to the boards because I missed him but I'll never find the pure unconditional love coming from anyone like from him *thing is I know it so I'm not unhappy*

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? miss my grandma.....been gone for 10 years now... for so many years she was the most solid foundation of our family...always there...never thought about her "not" being there. The last time we spoke we argued and next thing I knew she was gone never really forgave myself for that. Just goes to show that one should choose their words wisely before speaking. It could be the last ones you ever speak to a loved one. | | The Following 7 Users Say Thank You to gtstang For This Useful Post:

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? I miss my maternal grandmother so much at times I still pick up the phone to call her and then remember she's gone. It's a crushing blow all over again. She was a second mother to me all of my life and I always felt close to her. She died almost 5 years ago from a brain tumor. And I miss my paternal grandfather almost as much. He died 6 years ago from lung cancer. He was such a character and just a fun man to know. He always spoke his mind and didn't give a $hit what anyone thought. I'm blessed for all the years I did have them to lean on and to love.

He never saw me graduate from college.
He never saw my sister graduate from high school.
He never saw me vote in my first election.
He never saw my sister drive for the first time.
He never saw me start my own business.
He never saw my sister marry.
He never saw us truly happy in the women we became.
He never saw me be proud of the lives I've changed.
He never saw me become the person I was meant to become.
And I miss him every day. | | The Following 8 Users Say Thank You to witchofthedogs For This Useful Post:

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? I took care of my grandma in the Fairview Section of Camden NJ for 12 years. She had cancer and Alzheimer's. It was very difficult, I won't lie but she did so much for me and was a wonderful person and it sucked to see her change so drastically. But she was my best buddy my personal cheering section. I thank God every day for the time I spent with her and learned so much from. I learned how to be a caring, loving and responsible woman because of her. If I am even a quarter of the woman she was I am not so bad! She died in 2000 and I was very lucky to have had her in my life for sooo long. She refused to move from Camden, even when she wouldn't see that it was no longer the prosperous beautiful town we grew up in. We moved in 1998. I also miss brother-in-law Dennis, my best buddy from Kindergarten, who married and had two daughters with my sister Jeanna. In 2002 Dennis died from Cancer at the age of 38 yrs old. We were all there with him. I also lost my Fiance in the early '80's to the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut. He had long hair and we were very much in love and happy partying and having fun. Then we decided to join the Marine's and have a Military life serving Our Country. We were gonna have 12 kids...I will never forget I was in school at Camp LeJeune when it happened. When the survivors returned there was a big Parade and a Memorial erected to the fallen at Camp Johnson (part of Camp LeJeune) and President Reagan came..I got to meet him. That was my firsthand experience with terrorism and it hit me personally. Because of the time difference I was receiving his motivating letters after he had died-I was in disbelief. I miss them both terribly and not a day goes by I do not think of them...my angels.

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? I miss both my grandmothers and my grandfather. It was especially hard when I got married because I only had one grandparent there. Both my grandmothers couldn't wait for me to marry and unfortunately they couldn't be here for it.

My Mood: | | | Re: What do you miss the most in the world? Im in tears reading all the responses,i miss my maternal grandmom "grammy" who died 11/98 and my grandpop "pappy" who could not stand life without her and died 2/99 just 3 months later,i was extremely close to them, i spent every weekend with them even after i was 18 because i loved them so much and couldnt stand to be away.i was devastated and still think about them every day.If i could have just one day with them again i would give up everything i have because they taught me to love the things matter the most family.im balling like a baby right now,I also miss my best friend, he is not gone but we just cant be friends, its complicated but i still wish him the best, and would have his back if he needed me too. I have to go blow my nose now,i always get emotional when i think of my grandparents, still hurts just as bad as the day they passed.. | | The Following 11 Users Say Thank You to kittykat For This Useful Post: | delwitch69 (06-03-2008), gtstang (06-04-2008), max1 (06-04-2008), Naomi (06-04-2008), Panama Girl (06-03-2008), Roogle (06-03-2008), RosaM68 (06-03-2008), Spyder08 (06-03-2008), Sun Shine (06-03-2008), TattdMom (06-04-2008), wendy (06-04-2008) | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
