Welcome Mr. President: Here's the tab

I love it. When you spend too much and go in debt, what is the answer? A credit line increase of course!!

Welcome, Mr. President: Here's the tab

The federal government's 2009 deficit is projected to rise to $482 billion. That's not great
news for the next president - no matter who wins on Election Day.

Re: Welcome Mr. President: Here's the tab

Those numbers don't include anything about the costs to bail out Fanny and Freddy...billions.

Oh, and they don't include the costs of Iraq...because we never have to pay for that. That's just Trillions that only exists on paper somewhere.

Gottdamm Liberals. Spend Spend Spend. This is ridiculous. Vote the Libs out!

Re: Welcome Mr. President: Here's the tab

The Fanny and Freddie bailouts have been constructively calculated to be in the 10's of billions.

Here's a take on what it's going to actually cost. Hundreds of billions if not a Trillion plus.

The Real Cost of a Full Bailout - Don A. Rich - Mises Institute

War in Iraq, Social Security, Government Bailouts, Stimulus Checks.

I guess the answer is to keep cutting taxes. If we eliminate taxes completely, we should finally be able to afford all this shit.

Not that I want to pay more tax, folks. But is making sure that heirs of multi-million dollar estates don't have to pay tax on it really a priority?

Re: Welcome Mr. President: Here's the tab

While we are on the subject of money, here is a chart from CNN Money section about the
average tax bill under each candidate should their plan become policy.

Can someone explain to me why they think Obama will raise taxes on
the middle class? I guess he could, and he is just lying now.... yeah, that's it.
Obama is lying.

Meanwhile I will pay more taxes under McCain's plan.

So, who is the party that taxes and spends? I'm getting all confused now.

I personally don't know anyone that's rich, so I don't care if they pay more
taxes. Either way, they are still richer than me at the end of the day. Maybe they'll have to cut back
from 5 cars to 3 or something.

Mine will go down according to what is posted under McCain's plan but the paragraph above the info states this is what could happen if their tax plans are fully enacted

Re: Welcome Mr. President: Here's the tab

Doesn't look like I'm going to see an impactful difference regardless.

Obviously, under McCain's plan, the richest get the biggest breaks. I don't really care about that. I got no problem with rich people.

Obama taxes the highest incomes. That doesn't bother me, either. Looks like there's a 480 Billion deficit. I know I can't afford to pay it.

But...as an aside...

Isn't it time to scrap the whole fucking tax code and just start over?

What's wrong with a flat tax? Everybody pays 15% or whatever.

The more you make and the more you spend...the more tax you pay.

I'm telling you....as soon as we sell the Social Security trust fund to China...we should do that.

Who was that dude that proposed that years ago? Steve Forbes or something?

Then BAM, you never hear about it again.

Seems to make sense on paper. A set percentage and that's it. No frickin' mountains of paper and stupid government forms to fill out.

My taxes would go down with either candidate, but they would go down further if Obama is elected because I'm not a rich mo-fo.

And, even if I was rich, I wouldn't mind paying more taxes. Give back to the country that allows me to own 10 cars, 5 houses, and lounge around all day wit my bitches and my booze.
