Shall I suggest, bleaching said carpet, then completely removing it and fixing the wood underneath said carpet. Which in turn you then make that said room a hardwood floor. So next time you do not have to do all the work, just a little bleaching and you would be good on hardwood floors. They will still find trace evidence, but they can not get any dna off of it.
