| | As someone who visited last summer via a boat, I love The Rudder. It gave my family a chance to relax and let the kids play at that little beach and still have a few drinks...it was the best!!! I thought The Rudder was closing down though? I was very sorry to hear that

| | | Do any of those have a clean French Press, preferably all stainless, and a bean grinder, and beans ? I know, wishful thinking ... As an aside, the only one on the list that I have been to as a customer is AP's Cork, and that was 15 years ago so needless to say my ID isn't on the wall at the StarBoard, and besides I get all of the Dewey I can take at Cormier's Blog ...

| | | Thanks Frogman..Glad to be here.
M.Opaliski...I remember the cork back then and it was much different. I actually preferred the old beat up cork if you ask me. Great times!
DeCurlyGirl...I think we will get at least one more summer out of the Rudder. They closed down for the winter, but heard wil be up and running this summer. I love hanging out on that dock on a pontoon boat kicking back some cold ones. We sometimes rent Captian K's boat for a booze cruise on Saturday afternoons. | Re: What is your favorite Dewey Bar?

| | CR123,
That is one way to get one.
The Starboard also has VIP parties in DC, Baltimore and Wilmington.
Once the schedule comes out, I'll post it on goDewey.com and send it out to my Mailing List. If you want to join the mailing list, just go to www.goDewey.com and fill out the form, or just send me your email address.
Hope this helps.

| | | LozerBoozer,
You can still get Miller Lite at Garys, McSheas, Mama Marias, The Starboard, Big Mike's, and Scully's. You just can't get it at any of the Highway One Bars like the Rudder, Cork, etc.
For years, Miller Lite owned that town.
Luckily, I like Bud Light, so I am good to go in Dewey. | Re: What is your favorite Dewey Bar?

| | | Haven't been to a Delaware beach in at least 5 years but when I did go there use to be a place called The Waterfront. Saturday and Sunday afternoon they were packed. I think the special was 1/2 pound or 1 pound of shrimp for $2.oo

| | | Yeah, I've out grown the Dewey scene.
Not much into looking for non existent parking, cramming in a hot overcrowded room, listening to bad bands, and drinking warm overpriced drinks.
I'm happy sitting on my deck overlooking the bay with some good friends good music, and drinking into the evening. (which is exactly what I have been doing since last Wed. CHEERS!)
And if I were to go out, it would be in Fenwick where you can actually hear the person speaking next to you.

| | | Back in my Dewey days, it was just the Starboard and the Cork - everyplace else was like Grotto's (it sucked until you were drunk)...it's probably been 10 years since I've experienced the Dewey way of Life...not a bad thing and I don't miss it, but priorities and preferences change. When they come up with a matter transfer device, maybe I'll give the DE beaches a shot again, but for now, give me the mountains and a fast-flowing river.
