| | | I live in Milford and I like “North Beach” on the north side of Rehoboth. It is only 20 miles away. Each year I buy a season pass for 20.00 -- what a deal. I found this park by chance on my bicycle ---I swear one finds the best places to go on a bike! Now generally when people refer to Cape Henlopen State Park beach the are referring to the side of it in Lewes. As one site put it " while Rehoboth is popular with the gay crowd, this is truly a family beach." And this is a very big reason for its popularity. Not that it is a bad beach However I prefer more sand and solitude at Cape Henlopen State Park at the south end of the park in Rehoboth. To mix you up even more there is a sign there reads "North Beach"--my guess because its it the north end of Rehoboth. Now this side of the park is decidedly more Gay and listed on the gay beach sites. As one site puts it "Lesbians have traditionally gathered at the other popular sandy destination, North Shores at nearby Cape Henlopen State Park, although there is a lot of crossover and in keeping with the biblical meaning of the word Rehoboth - all are welcome! Be advised - no nudity is allowed". And because I love all people-- who do not piss me off-- I have no problem with that. North Beach is so less crowded and prettier in a way I can not put my finger on. Also from here I can ride my bicycle one flat mile into Rehoboth and do the boardwalk--a very big major plus. We are so lucky to live here! One out of town friend came to stay with me and I went to North Beach. Wow what a pretty day it was, and as we sat on the beach , watching the surfing lesbians. He asked me “Mark do you think that they think we are gay?” But because I love my friends no matter how stupid they are sometimes, I looked back at him blankly and he laughed.

| | DEWEY!
Definitely looking towards the summer... got a place with friends for the summer. I can only imagine..
I do like the Jersey Shore as well, I was a PA girl once and we went to the shore, not the beach. Then, I converted to being a Delawarean and now I go to the beach and say sub and not hoagie. | Re: What is your favorite Beach?
