I would've refused the test. No fine. No jail. You simply become barred from operating a vessel for 1 year from the date you deny a test.

Bottom line... Dewey Beach is the ish and it is about time someone caught on and made a show about it.

Six episodes total aired on TruTV's Surf & Rescue: Dewey Beach. Although most of the show was centered around the Dewey Beach Police Department and Dewey Beach Patrol (Lifeguards) the Delaware State Police, DNREC, and Bethany Beach Police Department also made appearances in certain episodes. I know that one clip of the show can be found on youtube and I'm not sure if TruTV plans on returning this upcoming summer for a second time, that is if that town allows it!

Looking at the comments in the forum there, I'm not sure I'd even want to watch it. Fake footage, 'Dramatized' events, footage filmed over two weeks made to look like it all happened in one weekend. LozerBoozer made a comment on there to one of the posters who said there were no back-bays in Dewey, his reply was funny, lol.

I agree that the footage of the lifeguards was highly dramatized. But let's be real - it's television! What do people expect? I think it would have been a better show if it focused more on the Police side of things, rather than the lifeguarding aspects...

Senior Week was always just the start. The way to kick things off. Dewey's always been a party town in my mind. From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend there isn't a dull moment. I spent last summer in Dewey and it was rough. It taxes the body...and the pockets, but it was well worth it.
