| | well maybe i am just blinded by anger and sadness but it's just 9 outta 10 times u will see just negativity and peoples reactions are are measured up to being an asshole, and seems like they only want to respond ina way that they see as entertainment. like our modern visuals can start off good but has to end on a negative note, i was raised "if u dont have something good to say dont say anything at all" what I'd like to see is, "my love goes out to the family of Kim, may she RIP" now if you knew L and had something positive to say just include him as "my heart goes out to Laron as well, hope he's doing ok" but na its just that ppl want to see negative action taken. He took a life so send him to prison forever etc. Like are there any ppl let with good morale? And to that other person I didnt ssay just racing, I said any kind of way...bc things happen. All I ask for is to respect Kim and her family. As for kitty apologies but its just anger! im outta here gotta go to the hospital! | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to getithowulive For This Useful Post: | | Re: Rest In Peace Kim Simione

| | I am sorry if you took my post the wrong way, as I said I also know L and Vic and am having a hard time sorting this out. But I do know that Kim will be very missed around here, her smile was so sweet and so was her heart. | | Thanks for coming back to post this. Everybody grieves in different ways and, speaking for myself, I understand your anger now and I understand more of the situation too. May Kim rest in peace and it appears that LaRon will be tortured by his own conscience for a long time to come. It's a shame that he had to learn the hard way. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. My thoughts go out to him and to Kim's whole family.

| | | My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in this terrible incident. We love and miss you Kim, we will never forget your smile nor your professionalism.
I know I do not post often, but this caught my attenention as it is near to my heart.
I have had the pleasure to work with both Kim and LaRon. I must say, there are not many people like either of them in this world.
I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinions and feelings, even though we may not know what those feelings are from moment to moment, a loss of a young life visits us all hauntingly. It makes us all think and feel. Regardless of wether we think the best or worst of a situation, we are entitled to our feelings and opinions as God gave them to us with our life.
I think at this time, we should all work together to help each other and the families involved get through this extremely difficult time, and sort out our feelings.
I do not feel that this is the time for finger pointing or blaming people for their feelings and thoughts.
I have come to know of this place, (TalkDelaware), as a place where we can be open and honest about our thoughts, where we have supportive friends and support for our feelings as well as our intellect.
We have all had choices to make, and God to deal with. I hope and pray to God that Kim is sitting with the angels, and our argumentativeness is not interrupting her peacefulness with them. | | The Following 5 Users Say Thank You to Hope For This Useful Post: | | Re: Rest In Peace Kim Simione

| | update Delaware crime: Driver charged in fatal crash Passenger killed in June wreck during I-95 race
The News Journal • November 26, 2009 A Wilmington man was charged with second-degree murder Wednesday in connection with the death of a 24-year-old woman after the SUV he was driving crashed while racing on I-495.
</IMG itxtvisited="1">
LaRon Sheppard, 33, also was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, reckless endangering, driving under the influence and having no insurance.
The accident happened about 2:40 a.m. June 28 about a mile south of Edgemoor Road in Fox Point. Police said Sheppard, driving a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer in the middle lane, tried to accelerate to catch another vehicle that sped by on the left. The other vehicle drifted into the middle lane and Sheppard applied his brakes, causing the Trailblazer to veer off the road, hit several trees and roll over.
Kimberly Simione was thrown from the left rear seat and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other passengers were treated at Christiana Hospital for minor injuries. No one in the Trailblazer was wearing a seat belt.
Sheppard posted $27,600 bail and was released, said state police Senior Cpl. Jeff Whitmarsh. | Re: Rest In Peace Kim Simione

No, they are two different charges. Murder 2nd degree is a Class A felony with a minimum 10 year prison term making it much more serious than vehicular homicide 1st degree which is only a Class E felony with a minimum 2 year prison term.
I'm only guessing but I think the fact that he was drunk and racing recklessly bumped it up to Murder 2nd. | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to hockey For This Useful Post: | | Re: Rest In Peace Kim Simione

| | | Drunk driving and racing and kill a innocent girl....
Rabbit runs into the road and you kill a innocent girl....
Sleepy driving and you kill a innocent girl....
Inattentive driving and you kill a innocent girl....
Pick which one the average person with morals would be outraged about....I'll wait.
RIP to the girl killed, quick recovery to those hurt, thoughts to the families affected. To the driver, I do feel a spot of "sorryness" for him, yes most have drove buzzed, most have raced, no we don't know exactly how it happened, but regardless he made 2 very bad decisions and now has to deal with the consequences.
senseless tragedy.
