HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Jan. 14) - Police say three New Jersey siblings whose names have Nazi connotations have been placed in the custody of the state.
Holland Township Police Sgt. John Harris says workers from the state Division of Youth and Family Services removed 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his younger sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell from their home Tuesday.
Harris says family services did not tell police the reason the children were removed. Agency spokeswoman Kate Bernyk says it does not comment on specific cases.

They didn't say why.

I'm guessing it's for reasons other than the kids' names.

Don't ask me why I suspect there might be other parenting issues in this family. It's just a gut feeling.

I wonder what they aren't reporting that determines the parents as unfit?

Being racist isn't against the law. But neglecting kids is. I wonder which one it is. Are they infringing on the parents right to be douchebags, or are the parents hurting the child's well being?

Ok Lewin, take a deep breath, calm down, there HAS to be more to it.

IF it turns out that the only reason these kids were taken from their parents was simply just because of their names, the parents WILL get the kids back, and maybe even a nice little chunk of (civil-rights-violations) change to go along with it.

However, I don't see that being the case. They would actually need to have more proof of abuse and neglect against THESE parents than anyone else, simply because of the civil rights and first amendment issues involved here.

I'd venture to say the names were merely the tip-off to the actual mental and/or physical abuse going on in that house.

I hate to say this... but it's not against the law to raise your kids as racist hate mongers....

So I'm with you Decent... there has to be more.

its just funny that these kids were put in the national light cause of thier names and now they have been removed from thier family and yet again thier "nazi names" are brought into this.

i just hope they reviel the real "danger" of why they removed this children from thier homes.

I don't know why everyone's upset they were taken. They were probably just sent to "camp".

This is what I found after looking at a local paper. I read some where court is Thursday so I guess the charges will be read then... The kids are really cute... this is such a shame.

Holland Township police Chief David Van Gilson confirmed Tuesday that three children named Adolf Hitler, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler have been removed from their parents' home.


Van Gilson said the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services last week took 3-year-old Adolf, 1-year-old JoyceLynn and Honszlynn, who will be 1 in April. He said no reports of abuse or neglect had been made to his office.


The children's father, Heath Campbell, made national headlines last month when he complained after a supermarket refused to write his son's full name on a birthday cake.


Campbell says he chose the names to honor his German ancestry and because they're unique.

then tell me why the kids were removed.

Kids without nazi names get removed all the time.

If it turns out to be that's the only reason, then there's a debate.

I still assume it's for more than that till further notice.
