This movie is a great movie (and a true story) about Vietnam. It takes place in the Da Nang Valley in 1965.
Our soldiers were dropped into a very large concentration of North Vietnam Soldiers (they were outnumbered 4 to 1) this is the story of them and the 3 day battled that ensued.
***Off topic but shows you how great our soldiers are***
Its mentioned more in the book but there is one guy that is constantly singing during battles. He did this to help his fellow soldiers deal with the stress of battle. I think he was Scottish and that was passed down to him. Fast Forward 30 years later he is diagnosed with cancer and the odds dont look good. This soldier beat the cancer. He was employed at the WTC as a Chief of Security for one of the companies. He used to hold evacuation drills and would make everyone leave there desks and walk down the stairs. On the fateful morning of 9/11 I think most everyone from his company got out (might of been one or two lost) and everyone interviewed stated when the alarm went off they didnt think they reacted all because of him and his training (there is a video of him directing people down the stairs singing) . He got outside (when the last person from his company "did") saw the carnage and ran back in to save others . He perished that day but shows you how great a man he was.
