| | | I seen House of 1000 Corpses and I thought it was demented. I'll just stick to scary movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th.

| | | I'ma horror movie FREAK, LOVE them! Problem is I ~always~ have nightmares after. If I watch it at home, I pause the scary parts and zoom in to find mistakes and such in the special effect, "ie latex flaps etc, lol, and that helps a little with the nioghtmares, but still I watch them. I cant help it. First horror movie I saw was "Peices, when it came out in theater 1982, been hooked and having nightmares ever since, lol | Re: House of 1000 Corpses

| | Rob Zombie's "Halloween" is more viceral & gory than the original, plus you learn how he got that way. Pretty cool movie. I'm a horror movie freak myself, from the old Hammer Movies with Cushing/Christopher Lee to Evil Dead and the Romero "Dead" films. Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd probably go with Peter Jackson's "Dead Alive". You haven't lived till you've seen zombies meet the business end of a lawnmower! | Re: House of 1000 Corpses

| | | I definitely want to see his version of Halloween. My wife HATES scary movies, so it's one of those I have to wait until it comes out on ON DEMAND and she's not home.. Only time I can watch these movies is when she's not home... | Re: House of 1000 Corpses

| | | I'm the horror movie fan in my house, DH thinks I am twisted. I watched House of 1000 corpses and Devils rejects one afternoon a few weeks ago. Rob Zombie is a sick twist and I love it. He really puts characters in his films.
I loved his Halloween. Everyone knows the ending, Michael Myers kills girls, this provides you with the beginning. You see how he became what he became. It's a great movie. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to mastiffmom For This Useful Post: | | Re: House of 1000 Corpses

omg Rosemarys Baby scared the Sheet out of me when I was a kid. There was another movie that really got me too, it was called The Haunting of Rosalind" or aomething like that, scary as hell. Another old one, I cannot remember the name, had a really famous older actress in it, and the part I remember best is the mortician with the big tooothy smile and skinny skull-like face rolling a casket at her in her bedroom. God I can't remember the name of that movie! | Re: House of 1000 Corpses

| | | I really do like scary movies but I totally have to watch them during the day and when someone is home. They don't have to be watching it with me...just within the vicinity. I usually end up watching scary movies through little peepholes of my fingers anyway.....
Halloween is such a fun time of year because any and all of the best horror movies are on. I even did a college paper on horror films...it's amazing to read how all horror movies have basic principals. It's how they are all executed that make them stand out from the rest.
I'm not heavily a 'gore' horror movie person. I more so like the fright movie or psychological thriller. I DO love Zombie movies, though!!
Some of my favorite are:
Carrie
It
Sixth Sense
The Exorcist
Pet Semetary (I believe it's spelled that way)
The Omen
Amityville Horror
The Shining
Dawn of the Dead
Rosemary's Baby
