Before the advent of continuous bcp's, which made my endometriosis dormant, I used pot medically for about a decade. It was the only thing that eased the level 10 pain I experienced, along with the GI distress.

I am lucky that, at this time, the bcp's have worked and I do not need the marijuana, but there are many others who continue to suffer from various illnesses.

Dude that was my first thought! lol 6 oz is A LOT of pot!! My God, a 1/4 used to last me about 3-4 months! And I was a serious pot head back in the day and I was always the one to go to that would be more than happy to share.

That's so strange.....they have marijuana in a "special" safe when there are much more dangerous drugs not in any safe. I've picked up dilaudid (sp?) before and it was no big deal...just had to sign one form. I'm not a pharamacist, but I'm sure that's much stronger than weed.

Okay... I have a friend that gets morphine, percs and oxy.... does anyone need ALL that? If I could give her a bag of weed, would she even want any of that?

I don't believe this at all. Are you sure you aren't talking about Marinol instead? Marinol is simply purified THC which is the active ingredient in marijuana. Marinol is a scheduled drug which is probably why it is kept in a special safe and you have to sign an assload of forms to get it. I doubt Happy Harry's is selling weed under the table since pharmacies are highly regulated. Marinol is perfectly legal to buy while marijuana isn't. It makes no sense since marinol is made of the same exact thing that makes you high in marijuana.

There's a good chance it might not have helped with the nausea. Marinol doesn't work the same exact way as marijuana does since the routes of administration are different and also because there are also other active ingredients in marijuana. Marinol is simply not as efficacious as marijuana which is yet another reason why it makes no sense that marinol is perfectly legal to buy while marijuana isn't.

Mmmm... redheads.

Well... it came in an amber bottle just like all the other meds come in. When she opened the bottle there were rolled joints filled with what looked to me to be cannabis.... as in... green, leafy and smelled like weed. I saw it with my own eyes. The bottle had a prescription label on it too. And, NO.... I didn't smoke any and she didn't smoke any in front of me. She merely showed it to me because it was, well, it was funny.

Pot isnt 'drugs' though. It's a plant that gets you high. You don't need to add anything artificial to it to make it 'work' it just grows naturally that way.

I definitely see your point about alcohol though. More people die everyday as a result of drinking, either their own habit, or someone elses. Nobody dies from pot because nobody smokes it and goes out driving 150 miles an hour with double vision.

I wish pot would be legalized and alcohol would be banned.
