Wings

OK, you asked for it....how 'bout Hot Wing commentary!

Most recently the best I've had is at "The Reef" on Carpenter Station Rd. Great sauce - flavor - texture...and cooked through!

Beyond that, there are a bunch of "good" places....Bulls Eye on Kirkwood Hwy (but I haven't been there in a while), Stanley's, Timothy's (used to be AWESOME, but they've cut back on the variety), Logan House, Scratch McGoos, and Kid Shelleen's.

Then there are the chains: Buffalo Wild Wings, Chili's, Applebee's, etc...nothing like food that was just pulled off the back of a Cisco truck!

What do you guys think??

Re: Wings

I hate wings. Eating wings, to me, is like trying to disassemble individual corn kernels to get at the gluten. Too time consuming and messy for what you ultimately end up with.

Now, chunks of breast meat with hot buffalo sauce? Sure, sign me up!

Re: Wings

I like the gianormous wings at Cleveland Avenue Subs.. I won't say they are the best, but they are huge.

The Grannery has the best wings I have ever had hands down... but it's in MD.

Re: Wings

Smitty McGee's in Fenwick. Good size wing, perfectly crisp outside, juicy inside. Bold sauce. Great for Football Sunday at the bar.

Re: Wings

No, picking crabs is fine. You can crack the legs in a certain way that the meat comes out in one big huge piece and there you go. There's also more meat in a crab than there is in a chicken wing.

But eating chicken wings.. just makes no sense to me. "Here's a piece of bone, gristle and sinew with about .5 ounces of meat on it! Have fun!"

Erm. No.

Re: Wings

WINGS!!

The Reef??? really?
We ALWAYS pass it while going up toward Wal-Mart or Produce Junction...always wondered what was in there or how the food was. Very interesting! I must check this place out!

Stanley's is literally right up the street from me...but I've never had their wings.

I hate to say it, but I do really like the wings from Wings to Go. There is just something about holding that bucket of wings...and slapping away hands. MINE!

I agree. Not a meal.

But they sure as hell go great with beer. If I want to be full, I'll get a sandwich. If I want a little something in my belly that also begs for some icy cold brew to cool the palate, that's where the wings come in.
