Pizza

I'm looking for really good pizza in my area.

I'm up around Total Wine on Limestone. I'm looking for the Pike Creek area, Kirkwood Highway from Perkins to Prices Corner, and Stanton/Newport...as close to Mary's Country Kitchen as possible. That's about as far as I want to go regularly for Pizza.

Just to explain what I mean by good pizza.

I like Gerardo's, Nicola's, Margherita's, and Grotto's with extra cheese. If you haven't had Grotto's with extra cheese, you don't know Grotto's pizza. I won't eat the regular pizza, either.

Anybody know of any killer pizza joints in my area?

Cafe Napoli on Kirkwood....go for the shrimp/tomato/garlic.....

They are pretty good.

I don't do the "gourmet" pizzas, though. Just pepperoni for me.

They're always so damn crowded, too. But that's the price of success, I guess.

used to be this place in the shopping center where shop rite is....KILLER not sure if its still there or not...

Pizza U in Newark Shopping center is pretty good. I know it's a little farther than you may want to go to pick up pizza but it's good and CHEAP!!! LOL They have really good white pizza specials too. We live in Newark so they deliver. Not sure what their delivery area is though. We go up your way to get chinese food though. I LOVE the Great Wall by the bowling alley in Pike Creek. Not drive for good pizza?? I go from Bear to Dover for Uno's. Reminds me of Oregano's in Tempe, AZ. The place in Price's Corner isn't too bad, Ciao's 994-4541.

You know, I came so close to stopping in Ciao's on Wednesday. I had to go to True Value hardware behind Ciao's. That's when my pizza jones started. I got wrung up in the traffic pattern getting back to Kirkwood and just said screw it. I will give them a shot next time I hit my chiro in Elsmere.

And yes...I WILL drive for good pizza. Everytime we go to my wife's mom's in Georgetown, it is an unwritten rule that we go to Nicola's for Nic-O-Bolis and pizza in Rehoboth. I'm just talking about a weekly take-out thing.

LOL.. I was typing my response to Grotto's pizza when I got a P/M...which ereased my post....
I was going to say...
The best Grottos is in Rehoboth!
We would only go there when it was snowing, and had to use four wheel drive to get out of the driveway.... thats the best!!!!!

If you ever drive through Delaware City on the way to or from the beach, you should try Matasina's pizza on Route 9.....yummy!!!!!
