Jerk foods. Anyone know where to find it?

Does New Castle County have any Caribbean restaurants that serve Jerk foods?

I hear there are lots in philly but I don't want to fight the traffic.

I'm not a foodie either...... I just like decent food at decent prices.

Carribean Take out on Rt9 By Rogers Rd , we always go there for work.

I went there today at lunch time. They don't have the best service but if your patient you can place your order and get your food in a fairly fast amount of time.

The prices were very reasonable. I ordered the Medium jerk chicken with cabbage and beans an rice. You get a lot of food for the money. Plantains were also in the combo and the cost was $7

The chicken was good and not over-spicy and the sides were nice...

I will be going back.

I don't think it's open anymore, but the "Island Cafe" next to Hak's was real good - but they kept getting busted for pop or soda or coke - something they were dealing out of the back. Oh, and the prostitutes that hung out in front added a visual element that you don't get from many places.

The Carribean Take-Out on Rt 9 is probably the best around. And on Friday nights, you can see most of the girls that are listed on the State Police Trip Tics web site pursuing "opportunities"!

true that the location is not the best but I did not feel at risk so I can ignore the area.

We tried to go to Cottoy's Roti & Caribbean on RT40 but they are closed on Mondays. I hope to try them this week or next.
