CW Harborside...has anyone been?

I'm hearing good things about this Riverfront bar and was wondering if anyone has been there yet?

The C.W. is associated with the Conley Ward Steakhouse... not sure if it is the same place or next door or what. We stopped by a few Friday's ago but the deck area was packed and we didn't feel like waiting to get in. I guess that's promising.

Anyone? Raptor?
Always looking for a new fun spot and a bar with a deck on the water is a big bonus.

Re: CW Harborside...has anyone been?

CW Harborside is a really nice place. Conley Ward's is still technically inside and then the outdoor area is what they refer to as CW Harborside. I have been there a few times over the summer and it was a lot of fun. The drinks are a little pricey but the atmosphere is so much different from a lot of the other crowded bars in Wilmington. I have been trying to get Chase there, but everytime we plan to go together something comes up and we end up going somewhere else. Now that it is getting chillier I don't think we will make it up there again until next year. I would highly reccomend you try it there.

Ang, I totally saw you in Out and About or something like that at CW Harborside! I think it was the Bud Light calendar feature?

Re: CW Harborside...has anyone been?

Conley-Ward is/was a favorite on the high-end steak house scene - I like it better than Sullivan's (Lonestar's high-end joint) - I'd much rather visit an independent instead of a chain...haven't been there in at least two years or so - I'm hoping it hasn't gone the way of the rest of the waterfront....I think that the "steak house" image and pricing were a little heavy, so they lightened it up and started using the outdoor equipment that they acquired from the old Backstage Cafe (which sucked! No surprise that they went under!)....

My wife and I did find a cool spot on the water in Ridley - Carson's Dockside...it's a BYOB joint, so your alcohol bill is zilch! And, you can buy a $25 gift certificate for $10 at Restaurant.com...I had a nice piece of potato encrusted salmon and my wife had ginormous scallops! Plus we did apps, salads, and dessert (they don't make it there, but they use a killer local bakery - I forget who it is)....
