| | | I have a NEW favorite Sandwich/Salad/Soup joint....in the Shoppes at Naamans - two doors down from my Store is North Wilmington's BEST KEPT SECRET (ok, they've only been open for 4 weeks and I don't think they 've advertised yet). Crazy Bone Cafe is operated by the former owners of Dreamers Cafe (the BEST bargain eatery on Philadelphia Pike!). They roast their own Turkey and Beef. They have 22 creative and awesome sandwiches - not your basic hoagie-shop menu! Add another 12 Salads and soups plus chili every day and almost every taste (including vegetarian) can be satisfied. And if you don't want to take the time to analyze the menu, just tell them what you want and they'll make if for you! My favorite sandwich (so far, I haven't worked the entire menu yet) is the Buttercup...all white meat chicken salad, crumbled bacon, brie, tomatoes, lettuce, with a honey citrus sauce. My favorite salad is Firecrackers...basically a buffalo chicken salad with sharp provolone and freshly sliced jalapenos.
To make it even better, Crazy Bones Cafe sells deli CHEAP! Better quality and less expensive than any grocery store...the closest in comparison would be Don's Food Market in Chichester. And, they sell milk...$3.45/gallon. How much did you pay for a gallon of milk at WAWA?

| | | I am a freind of Wayne and Sharon's. I stopped in for the first time to their new location (Crazy Bones Cafe) earlier this week and as expected a truly wonderful experience. It has always amazed me that Wayne can do so much with so little. If any of you are familiar with working in a food service establishment, then you know there are ovens and broilers and 12 burner ranges etc.. If you take a look inside Crazy Bones kitchen you will find none of that. Waynes creativity is second to none. One could only wonder as to what he could come up with given a full kitchen again. As the Raptor commented everything is the freshest and of the highest quality. Do yourself a favor and sample a selection from their menu. Sharon and Wayne not only go out of their way to give you great service but match that with a great assortment of delectible sandwiches and salads. Oh yeah by the way - - - -the soup nazi has nothing on Wayne. | | The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to bobbyk For This Useful Post: | | | |

| | | Based on Raptors Recommendation, and he has not steered me wrong yet, my family and I tried it. We just got back and I have to say that it was very good. The sandwiches were great.
The place is full of baseball and comic book memorabilia. (My wife joked that it looks like our family room)
I am stuffed.
Excellent prices for everything!!!

| | Did someone say 20lb burger? Cause I'll take two...and like a dozen pizzas.
Hey, you try burning over 3000 calories a day.

| | | This place is not on Philly Pike. It is on Naamans Road in the shopping center across from the Target. Located in the same shopping center as the mexican resturant and Raptors Wild Bird Center! | | |

| | | So my husband and I stopped by Crazy Bones last night to pick up food for ourselves and my dad (who was visiting).
Upon pulling up, I noticed the Rockwell Album hanging on their wall and I started singing, "I always feel like somebody's watching meeeeeeeeeee" and my DH promptly asked "For the love of God, please stop singing".
Anyway, great experience! We were always fans of Dreamers when we lived closer to Philly Pike and Crazy Bones definitely didn't disappoint. Both owners were SUPER nice....we ordered the Retro Classic, the Brooklyn and the Wild Coyote 12 inch sandwiches, 2 orders of potato salad and 2 rice puddings. Everything was really really very good and great quality. I loved the decor in there...all the great albums on the wall (didn't see a Rolling Stones one, though...hmmmmm...), but it was a good time all around. We are definitely stopping by there for more sandwiches soon because there are too many good combos to choose from.
Thanks for the recommendation, everyone!
