As to the shoe leather burger tell the waiter or waitress and they will generally have it redone - aalthough that takes time. |
And that was a factor. Not that we were in a hurry per se, but we did have other things that we needed to do afterwards. And call me crazy, but me watching her eat, then her watching me eat is not my idea of an enjoyable meal. I mentioned it, they offered to make me a new one, I declined and they took it off the check.
I just ask that people earn it. I'm not asking for much; Keep my drink filled (the real good ones have another drink in front of me before I even realized that I needed another one), get the order correct, be reasonably polite, keep our waiting to a reasonable minimum.
If they don't do these things they get less, but if they do well they get more. I have no problem giving 30-40% if they did a very good job.
