I know you guys have heard me talk about King Buffet in Fox Run before...
NEVER NEVER NEVER eat there
one time I was eating there with my exhusband and I found a roach in my deviled clam....let's just say we both walked out without paying and dared them to have us arrested.

My Mood: | | | Re: Border Cafe I've seen people make a scene at restaurants when the waiter/tress asks for ID along with the credit card. Some people say they don't have it ,or flat refuse. Then tell them thats the only way they can pay.
Pretty nutty working for the public.

However, in my years as both a server and a bartender, I tended to look askance at people who made a big deal about it.
Yes, I am a server. But in that respect, I can withhold your service if you strike me as someone who (a) may be underage, (b) may already be intoxicated, or (c) may be under the influence of pretty much anything. And someone who complains about having to produce identification, in my book, was always one who "doth protest too much."
Now, if the waitress cops an attitude after you've refused to produce identification, I can see how it may escalate - politeness goes a long way in the service industry. But the first gauntlet was thrown by the patron in this instance. |

My Mood: | | | Re: Border Cafe All I know is that place doesn't have dessert???? WTF is that? What's the one thing you need after Mexican food... something sweet, and preferably with ice cream.
you have to lie and tell them it's your birthday to get the cheap ass kitchen cake.
But I like their food. Haven't had a bad meal there yet.... sign cracks me up every time "EAT",... yeah, no sh*t, I intend to!
