Best Italian restaurant in DE?

I lived down the street from Madeline's for many years. I bought my first house in Little Italy. I really liked their chicken parm and the snapper soup (used to order take out allll the time)...but I thought the salad bar sucked and wasn't thrilled with any of the veal specials they had.

I love Pastabilities and Mona Lisa was pretty good as well. La Casa Pasta in Glasgow is probably one of my favorites.

Food is great, portions are huge, prices quite reasonable, but get there early. They also have a location on RT 40 west of RT 1. I believe that the family also runs Caffee Gulatos (sp) on Main st in Newark ( more upscale than the other two).

Del Rose Cafe...THE best chopped antipasto EVER! Get a pitcher of sangria and a small plate of ravioli and you're set!

I'm trying to think of where you are talking about. East of Fox Run just across the RR tracks on the west bound side?

I am going to second Marco's. In the Sunset Plaza shopping center, it's in the middle of the shopping center. It used to be a piano bar until they had that shooting and the place closed down.
Marcos has GREAT food and the drinks are mighty tasty. The Ricotta Cheesecake is almost as good as mine!! You don't see that on a dessert menu very often. We also like La Casa Pasta but go to Marco's more.
We also love DiPaolo's in Penns Grove NJ. They are the BEST around. Their antipasta is to die for.

Don't know if it's the best in DE, but it is the best in Bear; wife and I went today, not cheap but the food and service was excellent.

postibilities in town is really great.

In the near future, my wife and I will be visiting Mezzonotte (sp?) downtown....
