So many decent restaurants. Lamberti's has laways treated me and my family right. I like Olive Garden because me dad and mom went there all the time (my dad still does, mom passed a couple of years ago). I know most of the staff, but most importantly the matre'd and manager. We went just tonight. The were a little crowded, so we went to the bar, where Mike knows just the glass of wine for my wife, and the Tangueray and Tonics are always tripples for me. My grandson gets chocolate milk.
We got a plate of parmesan chunks, crusty bread and oil/black pepper/sea salt to dip for an appetizer. The mains were Fetucini Alfredo, Grilled samon with hand made pesto crust (special ordered - theyy always make me anything I ask for), and the wife got a chipinio (SP? - it is that great blend of muscles, clams, fish, shrimp kinda spicy served with pasta).
I can't say I always get great food there. I sometimes sneak in on a night when only second staff is there and they are inconsistent. I always try to go on a Wednesday night or Friday. It's worth the wait when the main staff is on.
