Helen's is the shizzznit! But I don't consider that a "breakfast" spot, it's a "hey I'm starving on my way up north kinda place.

I must admit, an order of French Toast and bacon (crispy) at the Post House is my recent Sunday breakfast of choice. The omelets at Arner's are good, as is the pie, though that isn't exactly a breakfast thing.

I'd have to say Eagle Diner on Elkton Road in Newark. They have a mean scrapple omelet!

Generals Kitchen is very good.

Word to the wise. When in OCMD do not go to the Dough Roller.

The lines are always long because that's where all the tourists go (because they don't know about the 'hidden' favorites, such as General's) and the food is mediocre at best.

Another hidden treasure is the "Countryside Cafe" in the Bayville Shopping Center in Selbyville (off Rt. 54). The owners 2 daughters are both cops I believe and they have all sorts of firefighting memorabilia in the restaurant including patches from around the world.

Good hometown breakfasts.
