I was indifferent to these restaurants, but whenever I drive by them I always wonder WHY they are still open. I guess I haven't been in either since, oh, I don't know, 1985 maybe??
I guess I HATED the 80's, so I associate that with these restaurants and have not been in one since maybe the mid 90's. They should have just re-invented themselves and updated a bit.
I always like a decent chain restaurant when you're not sure where to go to eat... something dependable. We usually default to Fridays...whenever I mention that place, people want to hurl.... I like it. They have beer.

I haven't been to Steak & Ale (I still call it Steak & Al for some reason) since back in high school. That was THE nice restaurant to go to before the Prom or Homecoming. ????
It was ok back then. Nothing to write home about.
The only thing I liked at Bennigans was that pretzel sandwich..or something like that. Again, it's been quite a few years so I have no idea what they have on their menu.
