Re: Applebees

Sorry to hear that. Actually I don't eat out much. We do take out. Most of my meals are here at the pc. With my printer as my table LOL So I dont have alot to pick from. Though there is this little grocer in North East that makes awesome pit beef when he fires up his grill in the summer. North East Grocery.

She also never brought something else I ordered and messed up another part of my daughter's order, plus the food was bad!!!

Re: Applebees

I think that like any chain restaurant, Applebees has its ups and downs depending on what location you go to, the time of day, the waitstaff, etc. I think in general they have some decent food. I've had issues with my order before, especially wait time and accuracy, but nothing to stop me from going back in the future. And, they have a Southwest style chicken salad with guacamole and sour cream that is amazing.

I agree with Rosie here. I think it all depends on the people working at a particular location. I've had good/bad experiances at different franchise restaurants throughout the east coast. The only one I didn't like no matter which one I went to was Ruby Tuesdays. yuk!

We had Baja Fresh in NJ when I lived there and I haven't stopepd thinking about it since! So good!

I'm with you there. For some reason Ruby's food has just never been up to par with similar chains.

Re: Applebees

Applebee's & Ruby Tuesdays have both failed the 3 strikes and your out test. There are some decent franchise resturants, but I prefere a locally owned business. Usually get better service.

Bland, bland, bland food. The burgers taste like cardboard.

Re: Applebees

I've never had a good meal OR a good experience at Applebee's....The food is less than mediocre and, at least the one's i've been to, the service sucks. I'd have to be really desperate for something to eat to choose Applebee's. The fact that they are about to be acquired by the IHOP people doesn't bode well either.

Not everyone would agree with me, however:

Boy, 6, Tries to Drive to Applebees

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — A 6-year-old boy was hungry and decided he'd go to Applebees. So he grabbed the car keys, took his booster seat from the back seat of his grandmother's car and placed it in the driver's seat, then made a go of driving himself to the restaurant Tuesday.

He made it about 75 feet. Unable to take the car out of reverse, he crossed the street and ran into a transformer and communication box, knocking out electricity and phone service to dozens of townhomes.

Nobody was injured and the boy, whose name was not released, got out of his car and told his grandmother what happened.

"He proceeded to start the car and started backing up," said Sgt. Colleen O'Connell of the Broomfield Police Department. "He went backward about 47 feet, hit the curb, then went backward another 29 feet."

Investigators couldn't figure out how the boy reached the accelerator.
No charges will be filed.

"I have five children of my own, so I know you cannot watch them every minute they're awake," said nearby resident Nancy Hollis, whose power was knocked out by the accident.

Re: Applebees

I hate Applebees the food sucks and the service usually does too. The worst part is that Applebees is my hubby's favorite resturant so we have to eat there all the freaking time! Everywhere we go he always finds an Applebees for eating NOT good in the neighborhood.
