I don't go out in sweats, but I have rolled out of bed into shorts, t-shirt and a baseball hat.... the baseball hat - the great equalizer.

Here's the problem I have: If I spend more than 19.7 seconds getting cute, my husband says I'm taking too long getting ready. "But I like you natural!" If I go out au natural (not nekkid, just sans makeup & primping), then I'm sloppy. WTF??
Men: You can either 1. allow us more than 15 minutes to get ready without pissing & moaning that we're being vain
OR
2. revel in our makeup-free gorgeousness.**
**this requires NOT remarking on the hotness of any Halle Berry/ Cameron Diaz / Keira Knightly hotness when they have the benefit of ten assistants working twenty straight hours applying thousands of dollars of make-up to make them look "natural". | | The Following 11 Users Say Thank You to rockmama For This Useful Post: | Bada Bing (07-15-2008), Canon Rock (07-16-2008), Dreamear (07-16-2008), HEDDY (07-15-2008), kittykat (07-15-2008), motherof3 (07-15-2008), Panama Girl (07-15-2008), Pythoness (07-16-2008), RosaM68 (07-16-2008), Sugr (07-16-2008), Tracy (07-16-2008) |

My Mood: | | | Re: Are you a shlumpadinka? After many years in the corporate world I can no longer tolerate pantyhose or heels. They remind me of the torture I endured dressed as such. My current job dress code is perfect- jeans, t-shirts or polos and tims. Life is good! I have no hair ability- why worry about that, my mother always says I have hair like a saint- bernard dog. Alrighty then. Makeup I could go either way with that excuse - I can lie "can't improve on perfection" or the truth "no use paintin' a bad fence", so why bother there. I try to leave the house clean and unwrinkled and that is the best I have to offer so praise God for it. I have known chicks who doll it up- I have always felt there was no need to try to impress people with clothes and just ruin it with attitude!!

Like I would guess somewhere between 80 - 90% of the time. I am comfortable in them. Now I'm not talking my black patent leather stiletto's.. but I am talking about boots with 3 and 4" heels and sandles with the same. For me slipping on my Tommy sandles with jeans and a tank is normal... I wear my flip flops too but no where near as often. I will actually take my daughter to the park and put my sneakers in the car and change into them at the park and put my sandels back on when I get in the car. To me they are comfortable.
