Track Meet in Blades?

The Sussex Central Middle School track schedule is showing a meet in Blades for several schools next Friday. I wasn't aware there was a school in Blades and they are showing a meet later in Seaford. Have they built a sports field there in the past couple of years?

There certainly is a School in Blades and it's in the Seaford District. It's on the East side of Rt 13A, or the Blades Causeway if you will, near the park, you can't miss it. And, they just added on last year with a few new Buildings and yes there is a Sports Field too ...

Re: Track Meet in Blades?

Lomgnecker, the school in Blades has been there a long time. My son went to kindergarten back in 1994 (back when it was just for knidergarteners). They did the transition 6 years ago. My daughter also goes there, this is her last year there. She will then go to Seaford Middle School. I live in Blades but with a Seaford address because I am on the other side of the highway.

Longnecker where do you live, if you don't mind me asking???

Also thanks for the info.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the Long Neck area, Millsboro address, possibly in one of the Pot Nets Communities, and if not, one of the other Communities on Long Neck Road ...

Most of my experience in Blades was coming in on Concord Rd and turning right at the dead end to get to Seaford. When we first moved to Sussex County we lived on Horsey Pond in Laurel. My son was born in Nanticoke Hosp in 92. Because we had some business interest in Seaford and my son wanted to move there he played football in Seaford parks league until the season before this. Even with all the times we drove 13A from Laurel to Seaford I can't picture the school.
MO's post tells exactly where I live.. Long Neck

Re: Track Meet in Blades?

If you're coming from Laurel on Alt. Rt. 13, right when you get to where is says 25 mph there is a cemetary on the right. Pass that and right at hte Cafe Milano make a right and the school is straight ahead. They have improved and grown alot in the last 6 years.
My son played Seaford Parks & Rec Basketball for about 6 years.
Seaford has grown tremendously since I moved here almost 19 years ago.

I used to work in Harbeson (private office for the newspaper), about 7 min. from Rt. 24, Food Lion. So I ptreety much know where you are...
Great to know that we have another Sussex Countian on board.
