NEVER Giving My Son Dyed Or Sugared Cereal AGAIN

My 3 year old has only ever had cereals with no sugar and no dyes added. You know, the Fun Hater cereals. Plain cheerios, plain Chex, regular Kix, that kind of stuff.

Well yesterday, the SO stops by the store on his way home and brings back..

Fruit Loops. Quite possibly the most sugared, dyed breakfast cereal there is.

My kid is usually pretty mild.

Right now he is a rampaging lunatic. It's like instant ADD. Just add Fruit Loops.

I *heart* Fruit Loops.

I never really had them until I got to college. I only ever buy them now if I want a snacky food.

Now I want them.

I used to eat the heck out of some Fruit Loops as a kid (usually Trix, though, unless I was at my dad's) and I don't remember it doing this to me.. but maybe as a kid you don't notice.

Yeah and I sent the SO an e-mail telling him that his son is now a sugar-guided missile intent on destroying my sanity, and sends back:

"He doesn’t really get sugar very often."

My mom was a Fun Hater. No sugary cereals for us. She didn't allow anything like that in the house (even when we were teenagers - she ran the house like a fascist dictator).

But I do remember eating a GIANT bowl of Fruit Loops for dinner one of my first nights of college.

LOL!! Yea I never gave them to my daughter until she was about 3 either, then it was special. The nice thing is she really doesn't want them now... my daughters favorite breakfast food... those round peanut butter crackers. lol

My son can't eat sugar at all. His grandmother tries to load him up with "Kid Crack", and sends his ass back home. Then every second i have to peel him off of the wall.
