I'm so glad everything turned out ok for you and your son Decent. I know you were really upset over all of this. Unfortunately some times the lessons in life are hard ones, but I'm sure your son got this one.

You have a ton of class for responding to that post like you did. Can't say I would have been able to display that level of decorum.

It must be nice to live in a fantasy world where you don't make mistakes and you're a perfect upstanding citizen who "knows better"....and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Decent, glad to hear that someone who deserved a second chance got one, and isn't being locked up to "learn a lesson", which these days, learning a lesson behind bars means you actually become MORE of a criminal.

Hey Decent. Sounds like you really love your son and are raising him well and doing all you can for him. It sucks to be his age...and even harder to make decisions in a world that worries so much what others think of you...for acceptance...we all went through it. Open storage units in front of teenagers is like a jar of cookies or bright colored candy to a toddler....he made some bad decisions and all we can do is hope and pray that like us they learn from the mistakes. He is fortunate to have you caring for him and guiding him so much...I lacked that guidance but learned alot from my grandma. I was on ther verge of Juvenile Delinquency myself made some bad decisions did some dumb things but never got locked up or caught. I think the FEAR of that and having seen it happen to some of my friends especially ones who O'd on drugs made me stop and think and I got out of the environment I was in and went in the Military....I needed to do something....lets hope he just learns from it all and does the right thing from then on...i'll keep him in my prayers...all these kids needs prayers it's a rough world for adults alone...I can't imagine being a teen in this time.
