Great Wolf Lodge

A lot of you have probably heard me speak of going to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos tomorrow for a couple of days. This is the second time that I have brought the kids. It is A LOT of fun. They have an indoor water park. You have to be a guest at the resort to go into the water park area, so there are no lines. It is EXTREMELY clean. Last year when I went, I honestly didn't have anything negative to say and I'm pretty critical. I won't lie, it is a little on the pricey side, but when you take into consideration that the waterpark is included with the price of the room, it's really not that bad. Another plus, the waterpark has two HUGE hottub areas. One of which is for adults only. They also have a bar so you can go to the waterpark with your tropical drink . If you are looking for a fun alternative for a vacation for the kids, you may want to check it out. When I get back, I'll post some pics as well.

Exclamation Re: Great Wolf Lodge

As long you're comfortable with the surroundings and the cost it's not expensive, you can't put a price tag on time spent or bonding with your kids ...

Have a great time, eh.

Re: Great Wolf Lodge

I've been to Great Wolf and it is a lot of fun. The lines depend on when you go though. We got lucky and went in the winter when it was too warm for snow. The tail end of our stay brought in snow and the skiers came with it so the last day was mobbed. If it's not really busy I would say it is worth the money, but if you don't catch it on the right day it's not quite as much fun.
One kind of cool thing is that after hours (when the water park is closed) they have story time in the lobby for the kids and an arcade and snack bar. The kids all go in their pajamas to the story telling, and then to the arcade.
The adult only hot tub is nice, but I'd prefer it outside. I'm not much of a hot tub in a warm room person. Imo the only time a hot tub is nice is when it's cold outside of the tub. An outdoor hot tub in December is PERFECT!!! Even better if it's snowing! but I digress...

Re: Great Wolf Lodge

Well....I just got back and we had A LOT of fun. Wendy's right, when we got there, I realized that the last time we went we really didn't hit any lines because I have two little kids. They were going on the major waterslides, so there weren't any lines. My daughter is eight now and did run into some lines with the rides she wanted to go on, but still had a lot of fun. I actually spent most of my time in the little kids section watching my son going down the baby slides. We did hit up the story telling as well. The kids really enjoyed that too! Definately worth it!
