Ok, so technically my daughter is a Daisy Scout, she just started this year and so far she loves it.
So it is time for the annual Girl Scout Cookie drive!!!!
Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know she is selling Girl Scout cookies (as I am sure many others are as well). If anyone would like to buy any, they are $3.50 a box. I am taking individual orders until around the 22nd... those orders will be in around the beginning of February. If you still want cookies after the 22nd, I will still be selling those are considered "group" sales.
Also if you would like to do something for the troops that is tax deductible, the Girl Scouts will take any cookies you order and ship them to our military troops around the world. Through Operation Taste of Home the Girl Scouts Chesapeake Bay Council has partnered with the USO at Dover Air Force Base to offer this wonerful opportunity.
Money is not due until your cookies are delevered. If you would like to order cookies for the troops, please let me know since it is handled differently.
Of course all of this being said, I know my daughter isn't the only one selling cookies. There are many other girls selling them and starting in February the girls will be in front of stores selling them as well.
If you would like to order any cookies from my daughter, please send me a message or email me or text me.
Thanks everyone!!!

I would buy them from you, but one of two things is stopping me. 1. Is that I always order from my boss every year, and 2. Would be that I really don't need them as I am trying to eat better. Sorry! Not that 2 is going very well right now, but I am trying. I love me some Thin Mints!

I LOVE Thin Mints. I don't know anyone who sells GS Cookies, but there's always someone in front of Walmart etc. Wish you were closer, I'd get them from your daughter as well!

Dream, technically you aren't supposed to sell on the internet. You can send individual emails I believe to people and because this is a forum site I'm not 100% sure, but better safe than sorry. Any scout caught breaking the rules, including selling before the official sale begins (1/10 this year) can cost her whole troop to lose the right to sell cookies. I just wanted to give you a heads up. I won't bring it to councils attention, but since this is a public forum, someone else might. You may want to just send all of your friends a private email.

Cut four 14x12 inch pieces of waxed paper or plastic wrap; set aside.
In a bowl, cream butter or margarine, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda and cocoa powder.
Stir flour mixture into sugar mixture until evenly distributed.
Divide dough into 4 pieces.
Shape each piece into and 8 to 10 inch roll.
Wrap each roll in waxed paper or plastic wrap.
Place in freezer container with a tight-fitting lid, or wrap airtight in a piece of foil.
Label and date.
Store in freezer.
Use within 6 months.
To make cookies: Slightly thaw a roll of dough.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Lightly grease baking sheets.
Slice dough into slices or chunks.
Arrange slices on prepared baking sheets about 1/2 inch apart.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are set on edges and slightly firm on top.
Remove cookies and cool on wire racks. Coating Ingredients:
3 10 oz. bags Nestle Mint Chocolate Morsels
6 Tablespoons shortening
About 100 chocolate wafer cookies
Directions:
1. Combine mint chocolate chips with shortening in a large microwave safe glass or ceramic bowl. Heat on 50% power for 2 minutes, stir (with a plastic or wooden spoon), then heat for an additional minute. Stir once again, and if chocolate is not a smooth consistency, continue to zap in microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth.
2. Use a fork to dip each wafer in the chocolate, tap the fork on the edge of the bowl so that the excess chocolate runs off, and then place the cookies side-by-side on a wax paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm. Makes 108 cookies.
