Duggar family reveal sex of No. 18: It’ll be a girl

Part of me says that as long as you can love them, support them, and raise them in such a way that they're an attribute to our society, it's no one else's business.

The other part of me is slightly disturbed by what I saw on the TLC documentary on their family. Because there are so many children, MANY of whom are a young age, they operate on a "buddy" system. Each younger child has an older sibling as their "buddy," someone who is responsible for their day to day rearing (bathing, dressing, help at mealtimes and with schoolwork). The youngest child is always Mom's "buddy."

I think it's great that they're a large, obviously close-knit family, but is it fair to the older kids to keep popping out babies that they're responsible for? Is it fair to the next to youngest child to loose Mom's attention a year later when another kid is born?

I don't know. To each their own, it's just not the vision I have for raising my kids.

I've never been pregnant, but the only thing I can equate it to in my mind is the sensation of having to poop for 12 years straight.
