Site Shows On Comcast, Not Medicom??

At home we use Mediacom as our internet/cable company, TD doesnt show up, says 'page not found'. I'm logged into my work computer from home, so now I've connected to the site through Comcast. Can this be the problem that it's just certain providers and not the server or the site itself? Can it be fixed with ours? I posted it as a new thread to make sure people saw the headline, instead of in the thread already started about the site being down, just in case this is the problem. Maybe other people using Mediacom have the same problem.

Re: Site Shows On Comcast, Not Medicom??

this is exactly the problem, DNS propagation can sometimes take a week and differs per ISP. It is FRUSTRATING for me and the end-user (you) but it is necessary. I wish that it was instant but it is not, you just have to wait it out.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Awww and don't apologize, it's not your fault. You're allowed to empathize, but that's it, lol. (That hurt me more than it did you, young man, but it was for your own good!)

Re: Site Shows On Comcast, Not Medicom??

it could have been the time you left the house to the time you got to work that medicom refreshed the DNS cache

if you are on the same ISP at work as you are at home and you are good now at work i would say when you get home you will be good as well.....just a theory though

Mine is going in and out at home and at work... both here and TPA...

Taking its sweet old time...

But, hey - it brought me over here (now an approved site at work).
