Ok i have found a really nice Chat room addon for the site. It has many features included passowrd protected private rooms, customizeable, lots of features.

When i add this, there will be a link on the site that opens the chat in a new box. I am going to add this, and im hoping to remove the shoutbox on the forum.

what do you guys think? without the old shoutbox, the forum will look better and load faster.

IMO - After looking at the link that Chase provided I still would like to see the Shoutbox. Then the Shoutbox would be for what it is called, Shouts. People could take entire conversations if necessary to the new chatroom. I would like to see the new Chatroom as an addition to TalkDelaware not as a replacement to the Shoutbox.

i have seen people do that, like a "good morning/night thread" type deal, its ok.....i will see what the loads wil be like. plus the flash chat works off flash, if you have a old PC it might not work easy like the shoutbox....

keep the shout.. i for one wont be using flash chat very much.. i am here mainly to post and to read, cant do that from flash chat.

More than likely the forum will die if flash chat is only thing here to chatter on...

I have to agree with the consensus here, keep the Shout and use it as it has been ... if the Chat gets to be the goal the forum will suffer

That's one thing that drew me in here, people were actually posting etc, not just chatting. I like the shout box, thats just the right amount of chat, and it gives us a way to talk to eachother on real time, but it doesnt take away from the forums purpose..
