I would've said the same thing...so now I guess I will.
We went online and moved everything into inflation adjusted T Bonds a few months ago before the market tanked. We'd seen about a 7k loss over the previous 2 quarters, and since TIAA CREF gave us the self direct option into bonds, we took it. The bonds only return 2.5% plus whatever inflation is. So maybe we make 6% or so this year. Nothing to breakdance about, but in a week like this...
