Cancel Free Credit Report?

Just gave free credit report dot com my info to get a quick check from experian.

You can't cancel online, I discovered.

I may be wrong.

Anybody know the easiest way to cancel these folks before they start charging?

I just had to do it recently and that was the only way. Once you get the operator just tell them that you want to cancel and you are done. they will try to sell you on other features and just sternly say it once again and you are done.

Yea Kid, we had to do that too. They are such a rip off. You do have to call and just tell them no and to cancel. Did you know you can get a free credit report once a year? You won't get your scores, you have to pay for that, but they will pull all of your report for free. I think it's at annualcreditreport.com, not 100% sure but you may be able to google it. Good luck!!

btw, when you talk to these people and get it cancelled, try to get a cancellation number. If not, get the person's name and extension. That way, if they do not cancel it and it shows up on your credit card statement, you have a better chance of disputing it.
