They're good for TV...I've been to the Glen a few times and its a great party atmosphere (what race isn't?), but you see 'em speed by, then a minute and a half later they speed by again. When a caution comes out, you don't know who or why...
Sonoma is a better track for the spectator if you're up on the mountain, then you can see the entire track and everything that goes on - been there for a motorcycle race.
I don't mind the ringers, they usually have second rate equipment...but they get the most out of it 'cause the know how to turn right.
