This is beyond ridiculous.
2 entire games in a row without scoring a run.
Blanton was frickin' awesome on the mound for us. The bullpen, too.
ANY OTHER TEAM IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME.
And as it turns out, any other team did. The frickin' Pirates. Laughingstock of MLB. This is a club who had 2, and only 2, decent players. And they traded them both within the last 2 weeks! Crime in-frickin' Itlee.
When you can't beat the Pirates when your pitching staff shuts them out through 11 innings, you've got major issues.
Gimme a paper bag to cover my head. How can I face my friends with a team that can't score 1 run against the Pirates?
I knew. I knew in the 7th inning. When they squandered yet another lead off walk or single, I forget which, I knew this team had absolutely NO INTENTION of scoring a run. NONE. No matter how many innings it went.
Can't blame Jimmy and Shane. They set the table enough times.
How in the hell do Chase, Ryan and Pat ALL go o'fer? Pitiful. PITIFUL I say!
Is Les Walrond on a bus back to Lehigh right now? Somebody please check. And if he isn't...put him on one? Thanks.
