We are but moments away from a face off from arguably the 2 best left handers in the National League.

Of course, Santana is 1-2 with a 3.5 ERA

Cole is 2-1 with a .089 ERA

And let's not forget Cole lost that game 1-0 where he went 8 strong and gave up 1 run.

They're both known for their change ups.

We shall see who's on and who ain't.

Hopefully it's our guy

Well, looks like Santana had the goods last night.

Helluvan exciting 3 run shot by Dobbs to get it to 5-4 in the 8th. A little too little too late, though.

Got the shopping done early this morning. Already made some homemade macaroni salad and got it chilling in the fridge. Gonna fire up the grille around game time (3:55/Fox)...just dogs and fresh burgers, mac salad, baked beans and some chips and dip.

Don't ask me why I bought a 12 of Coors Light bottles. Haven't drank that in ages. For some reason, it just said "Pick Me!"...maybe I knew I'd be having a whole 12 pack today, and I wanted something that wasn't too strong.

Somehow tonight's matchup of Moyer and Perez doesn't quite have the juice that Hamels/Santana had. But I think the old man will keep us in the game. We should be able to knock Perez around a little bit. Can't wait for the game, some brew, and some BBQ.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE baseball season.

How's about Bohn last night...the AAA call up for J Roll.

Kid comes in to replace Burrell, and drops the first fly ball hit to him for an error. And Gordon was pitching.

I'm thinking, "Great. Just what we need. Let's just make Flash have to get FOUR outs."

But then he hits a 2 run double.

Nice!

He needs a friggin' haircut, tho......bad.

Isn't it nice that Ryan's getting paid 10 Million dollars and is riding the pine?

That's just dandy.

Just for giggles, I looked up the weather in Pittsburgh for tonight.

It's showers and isolated thunderstorms in the forecast all night.

I don't know if we're going to get the game in or not.

I HATE RAINOUTS!!!!!

However, when it's a day game and I can't get off work early, I LOVE a nice rain DELAY....an hour or so, just till I can get home. (Who we kidding, I always watch day games at the pub.)
