On Palin, some folks were booing and some were cheering, some did neither. They ceremonial puck drop, contrary to what was much hyped by those who dislike her was uneventful. Whether you watch it now via the link provided or you were there live you'll take from it and see what you want to see.

On the game, if not for those four goals in the first period they could have won, duh ...

Marty wasn't on his game obviously and it showed. So looking at it in a positive light, it took 20 minutes for the team to step into the regular season to match the Rangers who were on their fourth regular season game. The hole was a little too deep unfortunately, that or they just needed a little more time, either way it's done now, moving forward to the Habs on Monday ...

I watched both and I really only heard music. I looked and didn't detect any eye-rolling but I might have missed it. I initially took the whole thing as a friendly play on her "Hockey Mom" comment and I enjoyed it until I read all the spins on it.

Yeah.. How about that.. Rangers on game four and the Flyers just starting their season.. Found that quite odd.. I know it'll even itself out eventually.. But 4 games?? Already??

Well Scrap, they were among the four teams that opened the season in Europe last weekend with two back-to-back afternoon games against Tampa Bay. Add the Chicago game on Friday and they're three games into the season, no worries though, the Flyers got their feet wet last night ...

they filtered the crowd noise out on the web clip
the live broadcast was a different mix
while the music was loud, the booing was very clear
and their were loud chants of both her name and Obama the whole time
