In all my years of watching hockey, I've seen seen a player chuck his glove towards the puck in order to stop heading towards the net.
I have no idea what was going through Hartnell's mind but it did make me laugh. Luckily, no goal for the following penalty shot or this would have been bigger news.
Yeah, I've seen the body as in throwing the body and a few times a stick will go sliding, never a glove. And on top of that, Stevens started him in the OT period, and then went on to make 'no big deal' of it in the post game press conference ...

I think that's smart for Steven's to do that. Hockey is such a head game. I think, when it comes to benching a player, you should do so only to change a current bad streak. Usually, Hartnell has his head on when he's playing.
