Great win for the Phils last night. 8-4 over the Reds.
I didn't think they were going to get the game in with all the rain.
Not only did they get it in, but they came away with a solid all around effort, to boot.
Plus, I got to watch the recap of the entire 1980 Championship season on Comcast during the rain delay!!!!
Big ups to Pat with that monster 2 run shot, and to Chase for his first 2 Homer game of the year.
A special ups to the bullpen, which notched it's second command performance in as many days.
Madson, Seanez and Romero flat out got it done...on the night after we had to go through 6 relievers to cover for Moyer's junk outing which we somehow pulled out of.
And just like that, the Phils are back to .500.
If the team is going to be able to cover for Eaton today, Ryan and Shane are going to have to heat up. Let's hope it happens, so the worst that comes out of Cinci is a split (although with Myers tomorrow and Cole Monday...I like our chances to take at least one of those games, too.)  |
