participating in the Brandywine Hundred / Claymont Block Watch program

- To continue pre planning of our National Night Out Program

- To discuss and plan our next step for the Block Watch Program
Do they compete with CCOBH? I've never heard of them. (sorry for the hi-jack, but the Phils are off today )

Re: Phillies

More of a complement to CCOBH...NDAC is a Crime Stoppers type thing...partnership with community policing. Most of the CCOBH people will either be at the Brandywine Republican Party open house or the meeting to discuss the Cloverleaf Farm/WoodLawn Trustees project (Whole Foods & More at Naamans and 202)...although we may see a few peek in on this too....

Re: Phillies

Victorino was the Out And Out Hero of our series in Atlanta.

We don't win that series...let alone sweep them...without Shane.

So it's not without reverence that I say that Shane cost us this game tonight.

0-5 tonight.

And everytime he came up, it was with a runner on base, or in scoring position, even. Or so it seemed.

It was "almost" everytime, if it wasn't everytime.

0-5 just doesn't cut it.

I think more than that....

I think the team was just tired of Bret giving up 3 runs every goddamned first inning.

No matter what, how about this:

Is Mitch Williams the best damned post game analyst for the Phillies EVER or what?

Mitch is great. He calls it straight up.

He's like Simon from American Idol...except he knows what the fuck he's talking about.

KL...I missed most of tonight's game. (Daughter's softball championships this week) I'll miss most of Weds and Thurs games too.

Sounds like Shane had a rough night and I agree with you on Mitch....
I'll go see if the replay is on Comcast.

Re: Phillies

I usually don't watch the post game (either suffering from depression or looking in the fridge trying to figure out where the whole damn 12 pack went).

Yeah, Shane took a dip last nite, but Myers has to come outta it. The funk is gettin' real old and we already have a closer - if he wants to go back to the bullpen, he needs to fork over 1/2 of his salary. Funny how he and Eaton have switched roles!

Re: Phillies

I couldn't believe how badly Myers pitched last night! After pitching an incredible game again the Reds (which he did have to take the loss for) he goes and gives up a homerun on the 2nd pitch of the game! Within 15 minutes the Phils were down 3-0 in the 1st.

Terribly dissappointed in Shane as well, he went from being the hero of the game last week to zero this week. I just hope they can pull out these next 2 games so they can stay far enough ahead in the NL East

Re: Phillies

Can someone explain to me why Flash Gordon is still in the bullpen? I thought we had our AARP membership filled with Jamie Moyer.

He walks the bases loaded, gets behind Uggla, and then serves up a peach which Uggla knocks the shit out of for a slammer. Ruined a GREAT pitcher's duel.

There's no beer in the house so it looks like a whisky night.

Re: Phillies

It was a long homer! It hit the mid-level luxury boxes in left field. But hey, a little more run support and it would've been Brad's inning. Team loss, Flash was just the catalyst.

Though I'm really a Blue Jays fan, I root for the Phil's because they are the home team. It's good to seem the playing .588 ball.
